William Daniels: On Pins and Needles

Artist Talk: Tuesday, September 25, 5 p.m., Arts Building, room 2071

Reception follows at the Center for Art & Theatre from 6-7 p.m.

William Daniels is a multidisciplinary artist who works primarily in textiles, combining the contemporary and the archaic. His fine art quilts and accessories feature traditional quilt blocking and paper piecing techniques, which he combines with nontraditional components and materials. Daniels derives inspiration from anthropology and urban art practices that confront contemporary issues, and is always experimenting to integrate modern archetypes with historical, societal, or spiritual topics.
