Trish Andersen is an artist based in Savannah, Georgia, whose intensely-colored fibers-based work has been shown and collected worldwide. As the artist herself puts it, her primary goal is to prove that there is always room for both the vibrant and the muted, the sleek and the wild, the cut and the looped, the soft and the cumulus, and the dense and the coarse. Using everything from carpet remnants to yarn, Andersen's work ranges from the rectangular to the free-form, and from wall-based works to expansive installations that envelop, challenge, and transform the shapes we experience in the world around us.
