The Color Purple

Called “a joyous celebration of storytelling” by The New York Times, The Color Purple breathes new life into the heartbreaking and redemptive story based on Alice Walker’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel and the Academy Award-nominated feature film. With a soul-raising, Grammy-winning score of jazz, gospel, ragtime, and blues, this production received 11 Tony-Award nominations in 2006, and won a Tony Award for Best Revival in 2016.
