About this Event
BADGE: Evidence-Based Teaching
Facilitators: Dr. Abraham Flanigan, Assistant Professor, Curriculum, Foundations and Reading, and Deborah Walker, Interim Director, Center for Teaching Excellence
This workshop will supply instructors with specific strategies they can use to build and maintain rapport with their students in face-to-face classes. We will learn about strategies that can be applied right at the beginning of the semester to initiate rapport and strategies that can be applied during the semester to maintain that rapport. Participants will also be invited to reflect on their own experiences establishing rapport with students in the classroom.
