This summer, Southern Chorale will be traveling to Germany once again for our next international choral competition, "Sing Berlin!”.  While in Germany, the choir will be visiting Leipzig, the center of Bach’s activities in the early 18th century, following the footsteps of Felix Mendelssohn through Dresden and Berlin, and visit Georgia Southern's sister institution Martin Luther University in Halle, the birthplace of Händel. We will end our tour in Hamberg and perform at the Harbor Festival with the German Federal police in Lübeck. All of this is make possible through a generous grant from the Halle Foundation and through contributions from our Student Government Association. We will perform a Send-off concert on June 30th in the Carol A. Carter Recital Hall before we fly out on July 4th. If you wish to contribute to our student’s trip you can do so through the Georgia Southern Foundation's Choral Program Fund 0497 at advancement.georgiasouthern.edu/giving/ . We appreciate your love and support as we strive to bring home the Gold once again for Georgia Southern University. GATA!
