Moscow Festival Ballet: Swan Lake
Direct from Russia, this romantic ballet classic is produced and performed by the famed dance troupe, The Moscow Festival Ballet. Set to the music of Tchaikowski, Swan Lake follows the fairy tale love story between a beautiful cursed queen and her prince. At his coming-of-age celebration, Prince Siegfried is suddenly inspired by a flight of white swans heading toward the nearby lake. When he approaches them in the darkness, they transform into human form, and Prince Siegfried is transfixed by the immeasurable grace and beauty of the Swan Queen Odette and falls in love at first sight. Odette tells Siegfried of the curse cast upon them by the wicked sorcerer Rotbart, which can only be broken with an oath of everlasting love, and Siegfried vows to save her. However, when Rotbart learns how close the spell is to being broken, he tries to tear the two apart. Find out if love really can conquer all in this magical performance the whole family can enjoy!
