Robert Miller’s work is most often an exploration of positive and negative space within a composition, as well as a study of the harmony or discord between the two. His mediums are typically paint, plaster and wood and he lets his process begin with a photographic image. The completed work is a mixed media culmination of a multi-step, ever-evolving system. Miller’s creative technique is influenced by his experience as a graphic artist, information designer, and movie studio set painter.
