Performing Beethoven's Symphony No. 2 side by side with the Savannah Philharmonic.

Venezuelan violinist Rubén Rengel, winner of the Robert F. Smith Prize at the 2018 Sphinx Competition, will give a violin master class at the Gretsch School of Music at Georgia Southern University on April 14, 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM in the Carol A. Carter Recital Hall, Statesboro Campus. As part of the “On the Road Series” of the Savannah Philharmonic, Rubén Rengel will be performing Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5 (“Turkish”). The Savannah Philharmonic will also be joined by members of the Georgia Southern Symphony for a unique side-by-side performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 2, April 14, 7:00 PM at the Performing Arts Center (Statesboro Campus). General Admission: $20. All Georgia Southern University Students with their Eagle ID may get in free by getting a comp ticket form the PAC ticket Office before the concert.
