Grand Rounds Seminar: Dr. Kaye Bender, President of American Public Health Association (APHA)
Title: Voices for Public Health: Practice, Academia, and APHA
Public health practice and academia have all undergone significant challenges over the past several months as they have dealt with COVID19 in the midst of already having complicated jobs. Recent pressures on the public health workforce have included some unchartered waters and some very personal pressures. How does the public health workforce and their organizations muster the energy needed to be advocates for public health and for their work? How do we use our collective voices to ensure that public health moves forward stronger and better? This session will address some of these issues and pose some potential strategies for addressing public health in a post COVID world.
