Gown to Town: Visual Art Mapping in the Boro

Averitt Center for the Arts, Legends Gallery & The Roxy Remley Fine Arts Center in Downtown Statesboro

Reception in both locations on April 7 at 5:30 p.m.

Students combine studio skills, visual and historical research, personal experience, and GIS mapping to represent aspects of the city they have encountered during their time at Georgia Southern. Students featured are Jenny Callahan, Jasmyne “Joala” Johnson, DeMyron Kendall, Robin Lane, Denson McClain, Zackery McVey, Rian Mobley-Luke, Peyton Snell, TJ Thomas and Stefani Waters. Work includes animation/video, ceramics, digital art, drawing, mixed media, painting, and printmaking.
