Georgia Southern Saxophones & University of Centeral Florida Saxophone Quartet

The Southern Quartet will welcome the University of Central Florida Saxophone Quartet to their studio recital on October 22 at 2 pm. The students met during the Southeastern Saxophone Symposium at the University of Florida last year and were eager to find an opportunity to collaborate. Their teachers, Dr. Carolyn Bryan and Dr. George Weremchuk, have been chamber ensemble partners for more than thirty years since they were graduate students at Indiana University. Dr. Bryan and Dr. Weremchuk will join the students to perform of Gabrieli's Canzon XIV for double quinteteach quartet will present its own works, and the two quartets will combine for Joel Love's Three Pieces; Southern Saxophones will also play Georgia Southern Overture which was written for them by student Matthew Brown. Please join us and our guests for an afternoon of exciting saxophone music!
