Common Clay: The History of Folk Pottery in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia

Closing Reception: March 31, 5 p.m., Center for Art & Theatre 

Common Clay explores the historical importance of Southern potter families and the evolution of folk pottery in the South from utilitarian, household items to highly valued and collected Folk Art. The show features renowned folk potters from Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina and is on view at Georgia Southern University’s Center for Art & Theatre and the Averitt Center for the Arts in downtown Statesboro through March 31.
