COE Research Brown Bag
Join the College of Education on Monday, February 24 from noon to 1 p.m. for a Resarch Brown Bag. Guests can attend on either the Armstrong (University Hall, Room 259) or Statesboro Campus (College of Education, Room 1100J).
This session will feature David Owens, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Middle Grades & Secondary Education, is presenting on a study exploring a series of lab activities that provide direct evidence of anthropogenic influence on the ocean's pH and the negactive effects on marine life that results. His resarch looks at how to engage students on the "touchy subject" of climate change.
Also presenting will be COE's Meca Williams-Johnson, Ph.D. as well as COSM's Shainaz Landge, Ph.D. and Arpita Saha, Ph.D. They will provide information on a study exploring undergraduate students' motivation and need for autonomy support in their persistence to remain in STEM fields.
