There was a great opportunity for this to be a little different other than having shovels and dirt. The JCB machinery was there so it could have been utilized by having President Nickel in the machine actually moving dirt! If you look at any photo of any groundbreaking, they are the same.....shovels in dirt on a green rug! The Governor and many other dignitaries were there and there was an opportunity to make it memorable. Step out of the ordinary and be forward thinking and come up with some innovative things to tout our future and our accomplishments. This is a constructive criticism and only to encourage new ideas for a standard event.

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal along with Mark Burns, President - Gulfstream, were the key speakers at the Allen E. Paulson College of Engineering & Computing's groundbreaking event. So proud of the engineering students and faculty that attended (as the semester officially ended last week, which meant they returned to campus for the event) it shows their dedication to the program!
