Please join us for the next installment of College of Arts and Humanities' lecture series The Moveable Feast, on Monday, Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. at The Learning Center of Senior Citizens Inc., 3025 Bull St. in Savannah. (Entry and parking off West 47th St.)
The lecture, presented by Professor William Eaton and Professor Paul Tubig, "Do Memories Make the Man? A.I., Thanabots, and Digital Immortality" will explore the emerging application in the rise of artificial intelligence of thanabots, or AI chatbots trained on data of the deceased to help the bereaved. It raises fascinating and troubling philosophical and ethical questions.
The event is free and open to the public.
