Brown Bag Series: The Fight for Gay Rights in the U.S. Military was Born in Savannah

During the last century, U.S. policy on homosexuals serving in the military has gone from being nonexistent to becoming a leading topic of discussion about personnel in uniform. While there are countless stories about how the battle for social change has taken shape, this session will reveal how the fight for gay rights in the military was actually born in the oldest city in Georgia. Presented by Phil Gore, Director Military and Veterans Affairs.
