The College of Education presents the 2021 Fries Lecture, "Culturally Responsive Pedagogy," by pedagogical theorist, teacher educator and author, Gloria Ladson-Billings, Ph.D. The lecture will be held virtually via Zoom on Monday, February 8 at 7 p.m.
Ladson-Billings is the former Kellner Family Distinguished Professor of Urban Education in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction and faculty affiliate in the Department of Educational Policy Studies at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

The annual Norman Fries Distinguished Lectureship Series is sponsored by an endowment established to honor Mr. Fries, the founder of Claxton Poultry and former senior statesman of the poultry industry in Georgia. He passed away in December 2001.
