Family Fun Lab is a full-day, hands-on program designed for adults and children ages 6-10 to learn side-by-side as they explore the basics of building and coding robots using LEGO® SPIKE™ kits.

Whether you're a parent, grandparent, guardian, or family friend, this program offers a fun and supportive environment where you and your child can work as a team to design, build, and program simple robots. Throughout the day, participants will learn the fundamentals of robotics, including how robots move, sense their environment, and follow coded instructions. With guidance from instructors, adult-child teams will construct their own LEGO® models and use beginner-friendly coding to bring their creations to life. Activities will encourage problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration as teams experiment, troubleshoot, and celebrate their successes together.

Family Fun Lab is especially perfect for grandparents or caregivers spending time with kids over the summer and looking for a meaningful activity they can share. No prior robotics or coding experience is required-just curiosity and a willingness to learn together! The program will run for approximately eight hours on Saturday and will include a break for lunch.

Families are welcome to bring more than one child. If you register a second child with the same adult, the additional child will receive a discounted registration rate. By the end of the day, families will leave with a stronger understanding of robotics concepts, new skills in basic programming, and the shared experience of creating something amazing together.

In this hands-on, interactive camp, teens explore the essentials of personal finance through engaging activities like budgeting simulations, spending challenges, and investing games. They'll learn how to set financial goals, make smart money decisions, and understand the difference between needs and wants. Campers will also get to use digital tools like budgeting apps and stock market simulators - and even try out new virtual experiences that simulate buying a car, managing debt, or running a business.

Working in teams, teens will tackle real-world financial challenges, design savings plans, and compete in fun competitions. By the end of camp, they'll walk away with the tools, confidence, and knowledge to manage their money wisely and build a solid foundation for financial independence. Designed for ages 14-17.

Each student should bring their own lunch and a refillable drink bottle. All educational materials will be provided, and each student will take home a small "Jarquaponics" system. Students should wear appropriate clothing and shoes for walking on gravel and being outdoors in a greenhouse.
