The Executive Board of the Georgia Educational Research Association invites you to submit a paper presentation, panel, or symposium proposal for the 38th Annual Meeting of the Georgia Educational Research Association (GERA) to be held on October 17-19, 2013, at the Coastal Georgia Center in Savannah, Georgia. Proposals representative of scholarly inquiry relative to contemporary issues in education are welcomed.
In concurrence with our national organization, the American Educational Research Association, the theme of the annual meeting of GERA, 2013, is “Research Toward Empowering Educators: A Praxis of Advocacy for the 21st Century”.
Our Luncheon Program will focus on the future of GERA as a vital resource for the educational community in our state.
All presentation proposals must be submitted online. All submissions must be limited to 1500 words (12 pt. font) including references. Proposals should address briefly all major aspects of presentation (e.g., statement of purpose, method (if applicable), conclusions).
Submission must be received by April 5, 2013
Acceptance Notification: May 3, 2013
You are encouraged to enter a completed paper to compete for the Outstanding Student Research Award or the Distinguished Paper Award. See the links listed on the left for complete directions.
Your continued membership and involvement are essential to the vitality of GERA, a state affiliate of the American Educational Research Association and one of Georgia’s most dynamic research organizations. The broad range of disciplines represented by GERA membership includes education, psychology, statistics, sociology, history, economics, philosophy, anthropology, and political science.
Join us for GERA at the Coastal Georgia Center in Savannah to share your research in progress. Attend and participate in multiple research presentations and meet with your valued colleagues from around the state to collaborate, plan, and renew friendships.
