GSU Music Department present Georgia Southern Symphony

The Georgia Southern Symphony, under the direction of Maestro Adrian Gnam, will present their
opening concert, “Prelude to the 2013-2014 Concert Season.” The free program will include well-known overtures by Handel, Rossini, and Wagner as well as works by Mussorgsky and Elgar. The program will conclude with two popular pieces arranged by Bill Schmid, Shenandoah and Bosco Rosco, which will feature the Georgia Southern Trombone Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Richard Mason. The public is invited to hear the Symphony, which recently received a National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Emmy Award for Best Live Audio from last year’s performance of the Schumann Piano Concerto with Dr. David Murray.
