Madison Preston is a recovering patient from an eating disorder. She is in recovery and is coming down to speak about eating disorders for National Eating Disorder Awareness Week. Her lecture will cover:
-What is an Eating Disorder: Share keypoints on signs, symptoms, treatment, and insurance
options regarding eating disorders.
-How to Help a Friend: Covers information about eating disorders, how to talk to a friend/family
member, and recognizing responsibilities and limitations in that role.
-Know Dieting: Covers unhealthy dieting practices, impact on health, and the relationship
between dieting and eating disorders.
-Get Real: Provides real information about eating disorders, cultural factors, and resources for
more information.
-Prevention Presentation: Covers body image, media, dieting and genetic factors.
