Participate in these campus activities at the Rotunda 11-1 to help reduce your trash production today
-Clothing drive (SAGE) - Your worn threads may be somebody else’s treasure! Donate your clothes at the Russell Union Rotunda each day this week 11-1.
-Upcycle - Feed your PINTEREST soul! Create a t-shirt scarf or bangle at the Russell Union Rotunda 11-1.
-Decorate a cloth napkin - Make a simple step towards greener living. Trade paper napkins for a prettier, longer lasting, cloth napkin. Personalize yours today! Russell Union Rotunda 11-1.
-Make a Difference presentations by Interior Design students
-NIKE SHOE DRIVE & ELECTRONICS DRIVE (Environmental Safety Services)
From the rubber in a running track to the carpet padding beneath your feet, Nike Grind – a raw material made from recycled athletic shoes and Nike manufacturing scrap can be reused to make all types of athletic surfaces. If you have worn out athletic shoes in the back of your closet please stop by Monday or any day next week in the Russell Union and drop them off in one of the bins. And if you want to take an even larger role, ask a few friends if they have pairs to toss in too!
You can recycle any brand of shoes
No shoes containing metal
No cleats or dress shoes
No wet or damp shoes
No sandals or flip-flops
No other types of armbands/bracelets
We will also be accepting personal electronics (not GSU property) like cell phones, laptops, printers, calculators, batteries, etc...old, damaged, and broken.
We will place the bins inside of the Russell Union for the remainder of the week for additional drop offs.
