Project Management Basics

This course provides an overview of the ten knowledge-based principles for managing successful projects: Scope, integration, communication, time, cost, procurement, risk management, quality control, human resources, and project stakeholder management. The training includes practical exercises and an in-class group project.  Participants receive a manual, electronic forms, and other resource materials.

Who is this course for?

  • Current or future project leaders, project managers, and project team members.
  • Professionals who want to expand their knowledge of project management and learn the latest project management tools and techniques.

Course Benefits and Learning Outcomes:

  • Together the 12-hour Basics course and the 24-hour Real World Applications course will complete the 35-hour course requirement for the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute®
  • Students will possess knowledge of current theory and techniques of the Project Management Discipline.
  • Students will demonstrate the ability to adapt and innovate through problem solving applied through project management techniques.
  • Students will learn critical thinking skills through project management.

Lunch is provided on Friday.
