On April 22, 2017, the College of Education (COE) will host its second annual edCamp, a participant-driven professional development for K-12 educators. Generally referred to as an “unconference,” edCamp is built on the principles of connected and participatory learning.
COE hosted their first edCamp in 2016 and over 100 education professionals shared their knowledge about their teaching experiences and tools. Attendees come prepared to participate in conversation or host a presentation about information they would like to share or questions they would like to pose to educational professionals from other schools. Sessions for the day are created by consensus from those attending on what they would like to learn or discuss.
College of Education hosts edCamp free of charge to any area K-12 educators who would like to attend. Lunch and breakfast are provided. For more information about edCamp, email Michelle Reidel at firstname.lastname@example.org.
