Alumna and Art Museum Director Rebecca Nagy Visits Georgia Southern

Georgia Southern alumna and director of the University of Florida’s Harn Museum of Art, Dr. Rebecca Nagy, will visit Georgia Southern on April 4 to discuss her research into the rapid transformation of Ghana’s contemporary art scene into a cutting edge phenomenon in the international art world. “On the Cutting Edge—Contemporary Art in Ghana” will examine the various catalysts for change such as innovative academic curricula, social activism, digital networks, commercial venues, private collections, artists, critics and theorists. The lecture begins at 5 p.m. in Arts Building, room 2071.
