2018 Graduate Research Workshop
Ed.S. and Ed.D. Candidates are invited to register for this year’s College of Education Graduate Research Workshop. The purpose of the workshop is to help facilitate completion of the capstone of your degree program, the Ed.D. dissertation or Ed.S. action research project. Faculty will share with you what techniques worked for them as graduate students, what has worked best for the Ed.S. and doctoral students they have advised, and provide examples of exemplary work. Workshop attendance will allow you to get to know the faculty better as well as network with other students who are in the same stage of their programs. As you will learn from the workshop, both academic and social support is crucial for successful completion of the capstone research project!
This year, we will have one workshop date-- Thursday, June 7, 2018. The workshop will be in the College of Education building on the Statesboro Campus of Georgia Southern University.
The workshop will begin at 8:15 a.m. and end at 3:45 p.m. Please note that lunch will be provided for students as part of the program. All costs for the workshop and meal are covered by the College of Education, so there is no charge for you to attend. Unfortunately, travel costs to the conference cannot be covered.
If you would like to attend the workshop, please contact Lydia Cross at firstname.lastname@example.org or (912) 478-1447. Registration for the workshop will close on May 25, 2018 and you will be notified by May 28 to confirm your registration.
We look forward to seeing you at the workshop!
